Luke 14

                ²⁸ ”Suppose one of you wants to organize a fan event for your idols. Would you not first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? ²⁹ For if you lay the foundations and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, ³⁰ saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.”

Genesis 1

                ¹ In the beginning, there was a project to create nine goddesses. ² The project was formless and ever-changing, with emotions of anticipation, apprehension and hatred directed upon it.

               ³ And it was said, “Let there be Soshi”, and there was Soshi. ⁴ Soshi was seen and seen to be good, and Pastel Rose Pink was separated from the other colors.  ⁵ The Pastel Rose Pink was called “소녀시대” and the other colors were called “irrelevant”. There was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

                ⁶ And it was said, “Let there be a New World to be entered into, to separate the Era of 소녀시대 from the years that preceded it.” ⁷ So a New World was composed for the advent of the coming era. And it was so. ⁸ It was called ‘Into the New World’. And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day.

                ⁹ And it was said “Let there be an unbreakable Bond, such that this New World may never end.” And it was so.  ¹⁰ The Bond was called “Soshibond”. And it was seen that it was good.

                ¹¹ Then it was said, “Let these formless goddesses have form: a child-like leader with strong sense of purpose and enormous hidden power, a warm-hearted flower encased in the icy fortress of her own demeanor, and a relentless hard-worker with a disarming charm.” And it was so. ¹² Taeyeon Kim appeared from Jeonju, Jessica Jung drifted nonchalantly across the vast ocean, while Soonkyu Lee was transformed into “Sunny” in Seoul. And it was see that they were good. ¹³ And there was evening, and there was morning—the third day.

                ¹⁴ And it was said, “Let these formless goddesses have form: a bright mushroom that brings happiness and can melt the coldest of hearts with a smile, a powerful and witty character whose sublime movements would enthrall the masses, ¹⁵ and a tricksy black pearl that never stops  in her quest to become the goddess of beauty and sensuality.” And it was so. ¹⁶ Tiffany Hwang followed the path of the icy flower, Hyoyeon Kim emerged from Incheon and Yuri Kwon from Seoul. ¹⁷ These three joined the other three goddesses who had form, ¹⁸ awaiting the arrival of the final three. ¹⁹ And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

                ²⁰ And it was said, “Let these formless goddesses have form: a towering figure of faith and maturity with an insatiable appetite, a deceptively powerful doe of delicate form who captivates the beholder, and a methodical and intelligent child with an innocent faith in perseverance. ²¹ And so Sooyoung Choi from arose from Gwangju, while Yoona Im and Seo Juhyun as “Seohyun” came forth from Seoul. And it was seen that it was good.

               ²² The Nine were blessed by the Power of Nine and were told, “You are the future now: embody diligence, elegance and enjoyment, for this will be rewarded with success.” ²³ And there was evening, and there was morning—the fifth day.

               ²⁴ And it was said, “Let the New World produce masses, some of whom shall look to these goddesses for inspiration, joy and fulfillment.” And it was so. ²⁵ The masses were created according to their preferences, those who would obey this decree and those who would defy it by looking to the “irrelevant”. And it was seen that it was good.

               ²⁶ Then it was said, “Let us make S♡NE in their image, their likeness, so that they may be an example to all living creatures of the New World. They shall be chosen among all beings.”
               ²⁷ So S♡NE were created in the image of 소녀시대
               in the image of 소녀시대 they were created;
               male and female, they were created.
²⁸ It was said to them, “Be the model of a good fandom and increase in number; dominate the others by passive action and subdue them. Become the Paste Rose Pink Ocean to light up the land, skies and heavens to spread the word of Soshi”

               ²⁹ Then it was said to both the goddesses and S♡NE, “You are the New Era that the New World deserves and needs. You have been given the qualities to become the figureheads of a dominant and ever-expanding force. Nothing should ever be taken for granted. ³⁰ Let not your choshim* lost in the midst of the coming Glory. Let not your passion be clouded by your beatification by others.” And it was so it was told

               ³¹ It was seen, all that had been made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Genesis 2

               ¹ Thus the goddesses and S♡NE of 소녀시대 were created in their everlasting glory. ² By the seventh day the work was complete; so on the seventh day all rested from work. 3 Except for 소녀시대 because SM decided to book them in for a really busy schedule on Sunday.

*Choshim = beliefs, convictions and thoughts at the outset or from the very beginning. Loosely translated as “Rookie Mentality”

Religious books contain the Holy Word for people of Faith, but remain as beautiful, allegoric poetry for the non-believers.

It is true that the posts in this blog will be a parody of religious works by combining context of K-Pop, but it comes not at the expense of the religions in question since the works attempt not to ridicule, but to emulate, to replicate (in vain) the beauty of the Word. While it may serve to entertain, it is also meant as a celebration of religion.

The writer of this blog would like all readers to acknowledge that the writer has profound and deep respect for many religions, and all of those that the writer will draw inspiration from. Whichever belief system is true, many religions advocate the good nature of mankind: love, compassion and respect for others, and the writer believes that religions are indeed a force for good.

If you are easily offended by any portrayal of a religion other than those you feel have been vested with the authority of a higher power, please do not read any of this blog.
